Solutions.

Curing the fatal flaws in the US national healthcare system will involve more than coming up with solutions to problems. But that is a start.

The system will require a comprehensive structure and policies to be effective. Cooperation, creativity and innovation are fundamental aspects required to make it happen.

Fearmongers abound, especially those for hire by powerful industry lobbies who profit from the existing system. So in addition to coming up with a set of solutions, it must be sold to the American public as the right direction to follow.

That means both sides working together and compromising as needed. But both sides must shed their parochial self-interest and consider what is best for the nation and the American people.

Disinformation about proposed upgrades to American health care are also common. It must be addressed, head on, with facts.

And given the divisive state of the country, all of the above seem only faintly achievable. It is time for an e pluribus unum moment in our history, for an issue of critical importance to the future of the country.
